At level 8, Sims can “Synchronize Core Chronometer” which allows the vacuum to auto clean more frequently. At level 6, they can “Install Micro Incinerator” which empties trash from the vacuum while it’s docked. At level 9, they can “Equip Turbo-Charge,” which will increase the movement speed, and decrease the idle speed scan time of the vacuum. This trash can features automated removal operation and a unique soft-closure system so the lid closes smoothly and quietly. At level 8, they can “Install Sonic Dampeners” which reduces the sound it makes while running. At level 7, they can “Employ Nanotech Diagnosis” which prevents the vacuum from ever needing repairs, as well as “Waterproof Mechanisms” which allows the vacuum to clean puddles. At level 6, they can “Add Gyro-Compactor” which increases the amount of trash the vacuum can hold. At level 5, they can “Add Gizmo Redundancy” which reduces the frequency the vacuum breaks. With high enough handiness skill, Sims can upgrade the robot vacuum. When done, it will return to its dock where Sims need to empty the trash. Once turned on, the vacuum will automatically scan floors and clean up messes it encounters. Players have the option to name the vacuum. When bought in build mode, the robot vacuum comes with its dock. It will also restore the entire floor to its "pristine" state. They can be used to clean up things such as feces, vomit, and hair produced by pets, along with messes that children and toddlers create. A robot vacuum is an object in The Sims 4: Cats & Dogs.
